Privacy

The short version
Tabulo works entirely on your device. Your receipts, expenses and reports are stored on your phone and are never uploaded to us. We don't have accounts, we don't have servers holding your data, and we can't see what you record. We don't track you, and we don't sell or share anything, because we don't have anything to sell or share.
What Tabulo stores, and where
Everything you enter — receipt photographs, merchants, dates, amounts, categories, cards, cash floats, budgets and notes — is saved in a database on your device. It stays there. It is included in your device's own backups if you have those switched on, which is between you and Apple.
Photographs and the camera
Tabulo asks for camera and photo library access so you can capture receipts and invoices. Images are read on the device, and the text is extracted on the device. Photographs are not sent anywhere.
How text recognition works
Tabulo reads receipts using Apple's Vision framework, which is built into iOS and runs entirely on your device. Receipt images are not uploaded for processing, and scanning works with no internet connection. No third-party service is involved in reading your receipts.
Exports
When you export a pack, Tabulo builds the spreadsheet, reports and receipt images on your device and then hands the file to iOS so you can choose what to do with it. If you email it, save it to a cloud drive or send it to your accountant, that copy is governed by whichever service you chose. Tabulo receives no copy.
Subscriptions and payment
Subscriptions are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. Tabulo never sees your payment details, card number or billing address. Apple tells the app only whether an active subscription exists. Apple's own privacy policy governs the purchase itself.
What we don't do
- No user accounts, sign-ups or logins
- No advertising, ad identifiers or ad networks
- No analytics, crash reporting or usage tracking
- No location tracking
- No selling, renting or sharing of personal information
- No profiling or automated decision-making
The word “Analytics” inside the app refers to your own spending breakdowns. It is a feature that summarises your expenses for you, not a system that reports on you.
Support enquiries
If you email support@tabuloofficial.com we will hold your message and address for as long as needed to answer you. That is a normal email exchange, not something the app transmits.
Deleting your data
Delete individual records inside the app at any time. Deleting the app removes its database and stored receipt images from your device. Because we hold nothing, there is nothing for us to delete at our end and no request you need to make of us.
Children
The Tabulo apps are tools for professional and personal expense management and are not directed at children.
Your rights
Data protection law in the UK, the EU and Jersey gives you rights over personal information held about you — access, correction, erasure, portability and objection among them. Those rights are straightforward here: we hold no personal information about you, so there is nothing to access, correct or erase. If you believe otherwise, write to us and we'll look into it.
Changes
If this policy changes we'll update this page and the date above. Material changes affecting how the app handles your information will also be noted in the App Store release notes.
